Frankenstein Dissection

Hi All!
This is a project I did a couple months ago using zbrush, 3d printing, and traditional molding, casting, and painting. Frankensteins monster has always been one of my favorites, and I thought that he would make a great subject for a dissection model. I also think that it seams fitting that the modern day Frankenstein would be 3d printed and made with the greatest software of the time. I sculpted this Frankenstein dissection on top of a 3d scan of myself. I shrunk my scan in certain areas so that the final silicone mask would fit very snug on my face. I 3d printed both the shrunken scan of my face, and the zbrush sculpted Frankenstein. I then molded the Frank bust and cast the final piece in silicone. A couple pictures here show the silicone casting before paint, and then the painted mask with hair before getting a hair cut.

Oh I love this @Shane_Stover. As a classic horror fan, this feels so authentic. :metal:

Looking forward to seeing more from you, welcome to zbc!

Thank you! Yea you can’t beat the classics. The likeness was more difficult than I had expected, but I’m happy with where it ended up. Will definitely be showing some more stuff!

Fantastic piece. I love seeing something created in ZBrush come to life in a physical form.

Thanks! Me too! It’s amazing what can be done now with zbrush and affordable 3d printers. Total creative freedom and endless possibilities.
