I followed a tutorial on creating a football in Wings3D. This is what it looks like in that pogram:
I exported it out as .obj in 2 versions. 1 with a slightly higher poly count. Here they are in ZBrush:
My next plan was to create a full Z version. Not knowing quite where to start, I decided to use the imported model as a template for a texture map. If I could figure out the seam pattern, that is all it would take. I used the original model as a template to create an alpha mask and texture map. But the pattern does not work:
So, what next. Anyone already have the answer? Anyone want to try to figure it out? If you interested, the high res .obj file(zipped) can be found here(it’s just over a 1 meg download):
