Good job on this! Like the simplicity and accuracy of your anatomy. Also, your interpretation of Flash looks cool. He’s more heroic looking than Carmine Infantino’s concept. Much more bulk, like a modern super hero. Carmine’s design was more like a normal male human physique.

I always thought Carmine Infantino’s Flash redesign of the golden age Flash was great.

I recently got the Checker “Flash Gordon” reprints and was surprised to see a sequence where Gordon wears a red and yellow powerman jumpsuit with a flash design on the breast. His boots are yellow too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Infantino swiped his design as an homage to Alex Raymond. Raymond was certainly one of Infantino’s influences. Most successful comic book artist’s are aware of the debt they owe Raymond and Hal Foster. flash_gordon-frames.jpg

FAO willbrown1: Here’s a bonus tip: If you don’t want a specific image to create a thumbnail in the bottom row, change the ATT and /ATT to ATN and /ATN. ZBC will skip over any images with that tag, looking for the first image in a post that has the ATT tag instead.

Thanks!

 Wow! is amazing…is identical to Flash, I think we all go through many influences to be able to get to have our own line.
Thank you very much for that whole story, it’s amazing what you find in the past.
Greetings.
