Hi guys! This is a model i’m working on a last couple of weeks…
I use a painting of one of my favorite fantasy artists, Ken Kelly for reference.
There is still some small things of the model that i wont to fix, but i kinda like it on this stage. Hope you like it and crits & comments are very welcome!
Great attention to detail here! I really like the balance of your composition as well, with a strong pose. My biggest crit would be to break up the enviro base a bit (separate the rocks, sharper cracks, etc…) At the moment its a bit lumpy, and flowing. Also, the surface texture/noise is a bit too even across the base surface. Minor things, but they’ll really push your sculpt forward. Great cloth sculpting by the way too!
I really like this piece very much. Great pose, cleanly sculpted! I do wonder though, if the horns on his helmet might get in his way while swinging his stick, or sword. Still, beautiful work.
talster:Thanks for suggestions, i think the rocks need more definition too… I’ll try to fix them this days…
Webhead: I guess you are right about the horns, they aren’t very practical… but he is fantasy character and is important for him to be scary … :D:D:D
Thanks for good words guys!!
