Export Multimap Not Working

EDIT: SOLVED! - Now I am really embarrassed.

The problem was somehow my UVs got corrupted. I had to export the tool and re-import it before I could get the thing to unwrap properly otherwise nothing happened when trying to unwrap.

At least anyone else googling this problem now has a solution.

Original Question.

Hello there.

The Multimap Exporter in Zbrush is literally exporting nothing and tells me the task is completed in the same amount of time that it takes to click save after clicking create all maps, this has has never happened to me before. Does anyone have any idea off the top of their head as to why this could be (though it is probably something completely obvious and noob level)?

I am currently following the steps in this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06dr0zMo51o

Any idea what it might be?

P.S. I am trying to do this with only one of several subtools, the rest hidden individually from the subtool palette.

Thanks!

Good, glad you have solved it. I was about to ask about UVs!

Yeah, I noticed that when I tried to create a texture from polypaint it looked like a simple geometric abstract painting which clued me in to what was going on; However, it was not until I went through the process of exporting the level 1 SUBDIV of my model as an obj file then importing it back in before projecting the detail back onto it (from the high-res) that it I could unwrap it again. Nothing was happening when I tried to use the UV Master before this.

Can you think of why this might of happened so I could avoid it in the future or was it likely a one-off glitch I could not have foreseen?

That’s not something I’ve heard of. It’s possible that something was wrong with the model that prevented UV Master running but without testing the model it’s impossible to say. Anyway, it’s not a regular occurrence so I don’t think you need worry.
