Elizabeth (The Golden Age)

Ok saw this movie and I was Struck from heaven by a beam of light that said
“Jason you must make this into a 3D model”

So not to go against a beam of light here is my Ruffing in of Elizabeth.

Once I get some more pieces in place I will need to flatten out the chest for the corset.

Compliments, very nice start cannedmushrooms! :sunglasses: :+1:

Ooo… this is gonna be nice! Who doesn’t like Cate? :+1: Good luck Jason!

First, the subject matter rates an enormous thank you.

The execution promises to exceed in every way.

Shall await progress on this eagerly.

Many thanks to the little voice.

End of Day 1

End of day 2

Ok so I only got to work a couple hours on her today.
STill ALOT left to do, all the dress parts, lace, necklace, ect ect ect.
I wanted Cate’s features but also wanted a touch more something. All I know it is time to walk away and address it more tommarow. These are the strangest facial features I have ever tried to do. It’s not like its going to come to me all at once;)

Still thinking a better method for the hair is needed. Might have to be a post production thing.

Enjoy

Although those features are not final yet, they already show a bit of severity ánd beauty. I think you’re on the right track! I couldn’t advice you on the extravagant hair… How does one make curls in Zbrush…
:+1: So far!

Ok so I got totally side tracked by a program called wirefusion for the last two days.
(See community Forum)

but other than that set back, Here I start working on the jewelry around her neck. Of course I like using dynamics for this because it really shows the falling onto the skin, and makes the piece not look so sym. and uniformed. Its pretty easy to setup in maya 8.5. and well worth the time.

hey, what a cool idea to use dynamics for that sort of thing! :sunglasses: :+1:

After purchasing some duck tape and sucessfully taping up my loved ones to the couch or any other hard object, I now have the time to work on my model.

So details details details
Dress
Necklace
hair and lace.

Enjoy

more to comestep5.jpg

Another day at the grind

Todays adventures included
Earings
Dress pattern
Cuffs

and the ever ongoing facial tweaking !!!

Now to go do some sort of guy powertool stuff to decompile myself from this girlworld model!

Tomorrow I must figure out semi transparent stuff and if it is possible in Z3;)

 , and :+1:

How on Earth did I miss this 6 days ago? I know, a beam of light knocked me on my keister earlier that day, and I only now recovered. Anyway, very cool work on this one Jason. My ex-wife collects Barbie dolls and thus gets the Barbie magazine every month. They have a Queen Elizabeth I version of the doll and she is featured on the cover of one of the magazines. Ever since I saw that picture, I thought about designing a 3d version…but I was going to simply design a Poser costume for a Daz model. Your work is much, much better than I would have done. Many :+1:

Ok so I totally got Side tracked by my latest video on SSS
I needed a break from the queen anyway.
But I went at it full force today trying to capture the divinity of Elizabeth.

Thank you slosh Good to hear from you again;)
thanks for the C&C. The movie rocked btw.

I give you
Elizabeth.jpg

53in by 40in overall

Thanks for viewing;)

Pass the laughs, she looks like a man. Very nice detail man. I like the way you did the dress and how the cloth seems to flow down through the air like it is supposed to.

Looking pretty nice.

The proportions on her face are off though.

ya from the paintings I have found she wasnt much of a looker.

But I’m working on the post work a little more
an update
