Pretty weird problem, no idea why it’s happening. I’m trying to use dynamesh to fix the crumpled geometry I have going on in this creature’s mouth. Using it however turns my model into swiss cheese. Any idea why?
Before Dynamesh
After Dynamesh

You should update to ZB4R6P2. I personally don’t use Dynamesh very often. How did you create the model before the Dynamesh?
i don’t really know why, it can happen for several reasons though, like the mesh is too thin.
i would work around it this way. make a duplicate to work with.
inflate it somewhat and dynamesh, smooth out the results, close holes…repeat…basically do whatever you have to to end up with a clean dynamesh
that still has the same overall shape as the original. then project the details from the original to the duplicate.
Your mesh is corrupted.
Save out your highest resolution as a .obj.
restart zbrush or initialize
bring in mesh and use dynamesh again.
That should fix the problem.
