Display Model as a transparent wireframe?

Can i display a model, or parts/polygroups of it as a transparent wireframe? I know that i can activate the dot display option, which gives me a dot display while turning my modell. What i am looking for is a way to really have my model displayed as a wireframe. Is there a way?

It’s kind of possible. Just requires a bit of cleverness with ZBrush’s settings.

  1. Turn on the PolyFrame
  2. Set Preferences>Draw>PFill to 0 and Pf Color to white.
  3. Change the model’s color to black.
  4. Set Document>Range to 0 and the background color to black.
  5. Activate Render>Fast

You’ll now have an approximation of a standard wireframe.

Hello Aurick,
thanks for the advice. I tried it, but i had
not a transparent wireframe. The reason why i want
it to be transparent, because i want to use it
and suit my basemnesh onto the fotos of faces.
By just laying my base mesh onto the picture
and move features like eye, ears, mouth and nose
so, that it matches the underlying picture gets
the model very close to the original. But if the
mesh is not transparent, that is not really working.
In V2 there was the edge mode, which gave you
something, which almost was what i am looking for,
but the new points-Display is terrible. For what i am
tryinmg to do, almost worthless.
If its not there now, maybe in a future version or as a
special script.
Best regards
Heiner

PS.: Sorry for getting back here so late, but
there was lots of work to do.

There’s an easy way to do this, although you can’t see the backfaces of your model: with your model drawn on the canvas and in Edit mode:

  1. Switch on polyframe (Shift+F).
  2. Switch off Edit and press Rotate. The Gyro will appear.
  3. Set the RGB Intensity to 0 (for maximum transparency).
  4. Press Edit and continue sculpting.

If you wish, you can change the wireframe color in the Preferences>Draw submenu. The PFrame slider in the same submenu will give thicker wires.

Enjoy.

Thanks Mr. Civis!!!
You really saved my day.
Now i can do what i wanna do inside of
ZB!
Great
Thanks again
