Dennis Haysbert a.k.a Jonas Blaine

Hiya, I just recently got to a point in a pet project of mine I thought I’d share. Being one of my current favorite actors I wanted to model and texture a likeness of Dennis Haysbert in his role as Jonas Blaine on “The Unit”. Plus I wanted to make a realtime model as well since well I’m working with games daily. Anyhoo enough pitching here is were I’m currently at. At say roughly 80% complete, there’s plenty of room here for improvement, but I’m pretty happy with the results thus far. Let me know what you think.

High poly Zbrush sculpt 4.5million+ polys

Normal mapped on low poly model: Tri count 2020tris

Realtime textured: 1×2048x2048 diffuse/normal/specular (though it will be better optimized if I continue on)

Very nice work! Great textures and everything, great way of doing the hair too! I am surprised you have not gotten more replies yet, very good work :slight_smile:

I have no idea who the person the model is based of actually is, so I cant speak to a likeness (never seen the unit), but as a model its great work :+1:

Heya Neticule thx for the comments, I guess most peeps don’t know who he is which is understandable, but he’s a really good actor!
