Cutting and Keying for 3D printing

Hey everyone

I want to cut up a mesh and make multiple pieces for 3D printing. What I really want it a perfect fit it with keys or pegs to help it stay put. In other words, one piece has a positive ( male ) peg and the other piece a negative ( female) hold on the plane where I sliced the pieces in half.

Does anyone have a work flow for that?

You need to use the DynaMesh and with the key as a separate SubTool dupplicate twice, one positive and one negative (the options in the SubTool list). Then you need to merge down the SubTool before updating them.

And if you need to slice properly a piece, use the slice curve which will create clean polygroups. With the DynaMesh updated with the Group option, it will create two clean part. But you need to take care of doing as flat as possible slices.
