Curve or Flat monitor?

Hi friends,

I am a 2D animator and a beginner in 3D. I’m currently learning and working with amazing Zbrush  . anyway I want to buy a new monitor for my professional work and gaming. I haven’t had experience with one of these fancy looking curve monitors yet. But I am so excited to get one  :relieved:

Despite negative comments :unamused: and discussions about curve monitors being not good for graphic designers and people who want to have straight lines in their professional work, I wonder how much really it’s curve feature affect my professional work?! Well I don’t work with AutoCAD and such, I need it for modeling and perhaps animation! :running_woman:

The monitor I have locked my eyes on has not a big curve I think it’s 3800R.

So I’d appreciate if anyone experienced about this issue share theirs opinion with me to make a better choice.

Regards,
Arvin

I think you have to test it yourself, see if it works for your workflow. For drafting or CAD work- I’d go with a flat screen, anything requiring accuracy and precision ! Although, sounds like you’ve made your choice anyway lol.

Thanks my friend,

Yes kinda
You are definitely right I must test it first.
Thank you for your opinion

I’ve used both, and I prefer flat panel displays. It’s cool to play games on curved surfaces, but for work, flat surfaces are more suitable. When painting and carving, visual habits are more suitable for flat surfaces.
