Cant click off curvetube brush to start new curve

Basically the title, when i click off my model i cant start a new curve tube and tis quite frustrating, though im sure its a setting i have not set correctly. Anyone have any experience with this or know what im doing worng? thanks guys!!!

Hi @Wretchedbeaches !

I can’t say for certain what is happening without seeing it. However the procedure for deleting a curve is to click on the model itself, not in the canvas. A curve can’t be started in empty canvas space–you have to start it on the model. But it can be dragged off the model.

You need to click on some point on the model that is far enough away from the active live curve that you are not in edit mode for the curve. The cursor should be red. If you see a cyan cursor with a red line attached to the end of another curve then you are in curve edit mode and your stroke will affect the existing curve not start a new one.

What happens will vary with brush type. The standard curve tube brush will delete the previous curve and start a new one. Curve Multi Tube will continue to draw new curves while keeping the previous.

The size of the Curve Edit cursor as well as how far away a new stroke will snap to the end of an existing curve can be adjusted in Stroke> Curve Modifiers.

Thanks! Yeah i ended up figuring it out afterward but the only way i could start a new curve line was to edit my UI with the delete button from the Curve Functions menu under Stroke at the top. But for now i just moved that button so i can hit it until a more permanent solution is found

Thanks though!!!
