Cannot transfer UVs

Hello everyone, I wanted to try out polypaint in Zbrush but I’m getting issues. first of all I created this eye - it’s a very simple model. It has no polygroups, no subdivision levels.
Eye-Zbrush
It was made with dynamesh.
I polypainted it and I wanna export the texture but I need UVs.
Unfortunately no matter what I try I get this error.
eye problem

Sometimes it may seem it has UVs, but it doesn’t. When I flatten it it’s just a flat circle and it’s all messed up. I exported a zremeshed low poly duplicate and manually unwrapped it in blender. Then loaded it back but it didn’t help at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated, have a great day,

Copying and pasting UVs only works when the Vertex Order is identical/unchanged between what you are copying and what you are trying to paste it to. It’s really only useful if you’re using the “Work on Clone” option.

If the model lacks UVs to begin with, just use the Unwrap option for UV Master, or one of the options in the Tool: UVMap subpalette. This should give it a set of UVs, and keep the polypaint.

Alternatively, since you mentioned having an unwrapped lowpoly version:
You could import this second model as a separate subtool, subdivide it a few times, and then use the Subtool subpalette to project the painted details from the painted eye onto the new unwrapped tool. Basically transfer the painting itself, not the UVs.

Hello, thank you for your reply! Well, to unwrap it I need to make it low poly first, then transfer UVs from low to high poly version > then extract texture. Clone is just as heavy as original, I can’t unwrap it.

In that case stick to my alternative suggestion. Import the unwrapped lowpoly model as a subtool, subdivide it a few times, and project the polypaint data over to it (using Tool: SubTool: Project All).

The original model will not require UVs for this.
