brush texture

the brush texture…

ie if u have a texture on your model and change your brush it will store a memory of the last texture used with that brush. So like i ll have a texture on “standard” go to “move” and it will drop the texture, if i then put the texture back on it remembers that etc etc on every brush. Its a real pain for me as it then has multiple versions of the texture stored in the texture place ( and im assuming in memory ) and im continually waiting for it to load a new texture when i change brushes - which isnt nice… and its slowing things down for me too.

so my question is… is there anyway to switch off this excellent but just not for me feature.

Try converting the texture to polypaint. That way, it will be stored as part of the model’s polygons rather than as part of the brush.

aurick - I think he is talking about the alpha for each brush.

blinky - I am not aware of a way to turn off the remembering of the last alpha used on a brush…doesn’t mean there isn’t through…
