I’m getting an error “Unable to record brush strokes.” It pops up every time I try to paint a texture stroke, making it impossible to do any work. I’ve never encountered this problem beofre and was wondering how to rectify the problem. I just upgraded to the latest version 4R2b yesterday. Could this have anything to do with it?

No idea if it is a related problem, but I encountered something similar being unable to place any brush strokes on my object, when I had a few Layers on the model but none of them were set to record mode. Like I said It is probably a different issue all together, but I hope it may be of some help.
picked up this error right now aswell. never seen it before, were you perhaps using geometry HD when it went down?

I just got exactly the same error. Any idea what to do? I can’t find a solution anywhere.
EDIT: I tried sculpting on different subtools but I continue to get the same problem. I also get the problem when I tried to reload the tool. I’ve just had to restart the ZBrush programme and it appears to be working fine at the moment…We’ll see how it goes.
I don’t know if this will help with you guys, but I found out that when I get this error and I press the replay last stroke, the error goes away and I can get back to work. Hope this helps.
