Brush lag

Hello ! I’m a beginner in ZBrush and I found myself having a problem . I want to create some detail with Standard brush on an high poly sphere for example ( 800k poligons) and my brush lags.
The detail on the sphere from the photo took me 2-3 ~ seconds to draw.
The document is 1510x936 .
My pc:
Amd 8300 Fx
Sapphire 270x r9 2gb Tri-x
8 RAM
1 TB harddisk

Can someone help me please with this problem? :slight_smile: I saw some tutorials with higher Active points and moved perfectly.

Try checking if you have turned on “Dynamic SubDiv” in the Geometry menu.
This might be the problem.

A few other ways to reduce brush lag with multi-million poly sculpts;

In the Render Tab, go down to Preview Shadow, and turn ObjShadows slider to 0.

Use a Matcap Material instead of a Standard Material for sculpting, as lights can cause slow-down on a high res mesh with Standard Materials.

If you need to use a Standard Material (ie polypainting), in your Material Tab > Modifiers, turn Specular to 0 (temporarily).
