Book of Eli Character

Hey guys,

I am working on the main character from the Book of Eli. I want to do a mix between the comic and movie as some parts are simply cooler looking in either one of the two.

Some reference:

I am working on a base body, this is what I have so far, still needs some anatomy tweaks though:

I worked on some props as well:

For the shotgun I just projected the reference texture on it, so no final texture :stuck_out_tongue:

You are doing good. Great references and excelente starting point for your body.

Thanks man!

I have been trying to make my clothing in Marvelous Designer, but I decided to create the tshirt and stuff entirely in Zbrush as I will learn a lot more about the fundamentals of clothing and folds. I came across a tutorial about creating folds which is really helpful to create believable folds and a non destructive workflow, I applied this workflow on the tshirt (WIP):

Thanks Becky, didn’t see your reply for some reason :open_mouth: Here is the tutorial link, it’s mainly focussed on how to build up the folds and to maintain a non-destructive workflow.

Here is a head study I worked on, its based on a concept from the game Brink (http://conceptartworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/bethesda_brink_concept_art_03.jpg) and started from a dynamesh sphere:

I will post a making of video later

Cheers

I made a quick game-res model for the Brink head, using Topogun. I wanted to texture skin using Mari as I would like to integrate this program in my pipeline. Here is a quick test:

Curently Im working on a likeness, but its not getting along very well :frowning: Can I get some feedback?

Spoiler alert: Im going for Denzel Washington

Eli looks GREAT!

Hey guys I have been working on another Brink head and a orc, both took around 6-7 hours and started from a sphere:

I worked on the vest, here it is, feedback is appreciated

Update on the models, due to the lack of time Im going for the comic head instead of Denzel. Feedback is appreciated

Hey guys, long time no posts :frowning: Here is an update on Eli. Even though I am not satisfied with the overall look I have to start the retopo now due to my deadline. Feedback is still appreciated!

I also worked on a speedsculpt of some weird looking horror creature, I will retopo and pose him after my deadlines, feedback is appreciated

I did the retopology for the Eli character and its just under 9k triangles. I also made a basic texture, but will need tweaking before it is finished. Comments are welcome!
