Hi All!
Guys, do you know how to add blur effect while rendering in ZBrush? I mean that the nearest objects are clear, but next to them are blurry etc. ?
Hi All!
Guys, do you know how to add blur effect while rendering in ZBrush? I mean that the nearest objects are clear, but next to them are blurry etc. ?
i think you mean the `“Depth Cue” Effect in the Render Palette !
Thanks, I’ll try it now!
Also try adjusting your “blur” amounts and “size” amounts in the anti-aliasing menu of your render pallette
IF it is not Blurred enough, you can always make a render of the sceen, and use the MRGBZ grabber to do a screen rip, then Floodfill the ripped screen into an empty document with the flat material, and use the Blur/sharpen brush to manualy add more extream bluring and sharpening :D
you probably wont need to do this, if you tweak the Depth cue settings like Winged one was talking about… but sometimes you may find you have to tweak something manualy to get teh effect you are after… Zbrush is great for Post rendering touchup.
also, I have been playing with a trick I learned in the Paint shop pro tutorials I found on google…
make the things closer to you a bit brighter, and the things in the distance a wee bit darker. you can do this effect realy easy by either:
Tweaking the materials before rendering adding a bit of ambient light to the closer objects and vice versa to the things in the distance…
or do a screen rip, and post process it by Running the Hilighter 2 brush over the close things. and use the darken (hold alt) on the things in the distance…
I will try to make a picture later to show what I am talking about…just a real subtle light diffrence realy adds to the depth (well it did in the photos in the tutorial at least, I have not tried this in Zbrush 2 yet)
anyways, Have a nice day everyone :D
