What is by your opinion best rendering software I should buy (or download) to render my ZBRUSH work ?
Mental Ray and Vray i beleive have similar capabilities
We activately discourage these kinds of threads. In order for the answer to have any value to you, it must be unbiased AND accurate for your system or needs. Only you know what your system is capable of and what your needs are. And any feedback from others is going to be based on their own particular needs or preferences. It’s also unlikely that the people responding will have seriously used more than one or two rendering engines, meaning that any feedback is going to be heavily slanted toward what they have experience with rather than the entire array of what’s available.
In short: do some research. Decide what features are important to you and research the market to see what best fits those needs.
And don’t forget that ZBrush has an excellent built-in renderer. In fact, if your purpose is the creation of still images rather than animations my recommendation would be to stay with ZBrush entirely. Being able to snapshot 3D elements and then enhance them with 2.5D detailing opens up doors that are not possible in a purely 3D environment.
