A close-up:
looks great, the detail is awesome, but the blade doesnt look sharp? might just be me.( it looks too rounded on the side of the blade as well.
If the blade were very sharp it would just end up lodged in bone, and that’s a bad thing.
Thanks for the comments.
argonaut: This weapon is for decoration only - so the blade don’t need to be sharp…
Here is a new piece from the armour i’m working on.
Hope you like it.
simply : beautifull.
nice shader and colors!
 hi, really nice as always, do you building some of this with z brush, zspheres or some other basic polys, or begin witha max mesh?.
congratulations
DAVESTEEL: I made the base-meshes in 3dsmax but i’m sure you can use ZBrush to make something like that.
Here are your wireframes:

G’day.
The armour really looks great.
The material is quite subtle and not too obvious. It has an olden days look.
Very well done indeed.

Here is the shield for my armour:
thanks for the wires, You still modeling awesome
good stuff man! mind sharing how your adding the carvings and stuff on the weapons? are they just projection maps being dragged in to the geometry or are you using another method? perhaps a more structured way of doing it?
cok3: I sculpt the carvings by hand with the standard brush using symmetry.
Then i create a NormalMap for the use in 3dsmax.
