Stop. This year, you may regret it. Some independent researchers are raising alarms that much of your candy (and even more foods besides that) are likely contaminated with toxic chemicals, especially melamine.
This is not a political post. I am seriously concerned for people’s safety.
Countries around the world, even China themselves, have removed all products containing milk powders manufactured in China before September. Actually, I believe it was September 14th.
The reason for this is a practice which enjoyed brief widespread popularity among major Chinese milk suppliers before it was found out. Melamine is a chemical with many various manufacturing uses from pesticides to plastic. Apparently, it also fools standard food testing procedures into falsely registering a high protein content. This cheat was actively exploited by Chinese food manufacturers for quite a long time considering the dire effects. One part of the food industry especially saw horrid repercussions from this carelessness - baby formula.
Tens of thousands of children developed kidney stones or suffered total kidney failures over the summer before the cause of the problem was brought to light. All over the world, products containing these ingredients are being massively recalled.
Except in America.
Americans have just celebrated Halloween. During the weekend after, millions of children are in the height of their celebrations consuming massive amounts of candy highly likely to contain these toxins in their main ingredients - especially milk powders - CHOCOLATE.
The FDA appears to be actively hushing the issue. They’ve issued a warning regarding White Rabbit Candy, and claimed that everything else is safe. They’ve done this without releasing any testing information or any details explaining why the same brands of candy are safe here in the U.S. when they’re being massively recalled everywhere else.
Don’t take my word for it. Do some research. Decide for yourself. I would feel guilty if I didn’t spread the warning of this potential crisis somehow. It’s up to you what you do with it.
This guy was my launching point for research into this subject. I recommend these videos as a good starting point for anyone who is concerned.
