Alpha images (png, tga etc.) in Spotlight?

Is it possible o load an image with alpha like png or tga to be used in Spotlight painting? I know I can use black to fill some parts but i alredy have a set of good cutouts done in photoshop with a correct translucent alphas.

I believe .GIF should work. Zbrush doesn’t support. PNG or. Jpg. Psd files should work as well

Gif is not what I would like to have. I need some pixels semi-transparent without ugly black edges. I found I can load color and alpha separately but don’t know how to make a precise positioning of the image on the model. Spotlight loads only color. not alpha. Is there any other way to project an image onto a model?
Also how do you load psd files with transparency? I only can load one with a non-transparent background.

I see what you’re asking now. No. You can’t load a transparency into zbrush. Alpha abed texture are your only option. And I meant. JPG before.
