Just got done reading the new features list of Open Office! I am verry excied about the new Database features!!!

Plus lot of new Fixes…

Funny Some people think this is made by a few Programers around the world… It was started by and is still sponcored by Sun Microsystems (The JAVA guys).

This is much more like Microsoft wnd Corel Products than ever before… they even call the autoPilots Wizards now!

Sun didn’t start open office. They bought Star Office and made a product and an open source project out of it called Open Office.

You are correct though, in that most of the work is done by Sun these days.

I always assumed it was like how Redhat opperates now…

They dont give away Redhat anymore, that is the pay version… they have a Free version called Fedora for all the Comunity to test…

I assumed Star office was the same way, that they used open office for testing, and they sold the stable Star office version…
