For a Xmas present,I was asked if I wanted the new AdobePhotoshop CS (adobe 8).
Does anyone have it?
Is it worth it?
Whatever I have researched says not much new.
Anything would be helpful.
No time limit, I can get it after Xmas.

Whether or not the features are worth it is going to depend on what functionality you rely on in Photoshop. I wasn’t very impressed, but I’m going to upgrade my Photoshop 7 copy to the Adobe Creative Suite and end up with a few other necessary tools: InDesign, Illustrator and GoLive.
If you’re already using Photoshop 7, you should really judge for yourself by using the demo for a month. If you don’t yet own Photoshop, I can only say that it’s one of the most useful and complicated applications I rely on.

Have Adobe 7 and couldn’t agree with you more.
But the cost of the upgrade (189)is kind of an iffy deal; not over the top,not cheap.
As is usually the case with most demos,it is also a question of room.
With the plug ins etc 7 is working fantastic and I don’t want to upset anything till I get a better idea!
