zsphere rig slicing up character when posing chain??

Trying to learn posing using zspheres but find with this mesh I get a weird slice style artifact when rotating the rig. Has anyone come across this before?

Additional info
Original mesh from 3d scan. After import it has been mirrored X and zremeshed etc so geo is clean.

Any ideas??

Your mesh is too dense.

Zsphere posing is meant to be done on a lowpoly model that has been subdivided to add details.

duplicate your mesh
use zremesh to lower the polygon count (add guides as needed).
subD your mesh and use project all to get your details back.

pose as needed.

Thanks for the reply. I had remeshed and reduced the polycount quite a bit already. Ill try even more and hopefully that does the trick.
