Hi. I’m probably the only one with this kind of a problem. I’m trying out 4R6 and watching a few tutorials for working with ZSpheres and I noticed that my Zspheres are solid gray (not shaded orange) when I’m working with them in Edit mode and that makes it hard to see the whole model in 3D as it is. It looks like a gray silhuette. When I draw a Zsphere it is half red and half orange but in solid color, not shaded color. Is there any way to fix this problem display settings? I posted a picture so that you’ll know what I’m talking about.
what material are you using?
You should post more of the interface than you did. We aren’t seeing lots of information. The number at the top isn’t your serial number. Update to ZBrush 4R6P2. Also make sure that the intensity slider is at 100% when drawing out the zspheres.
It started to work fine again. No materials applied. Then by accident a clicked on Quick Sketch instead on LightBox. I undid it, but then again after drawing a DemoHead, the head was again solid gray sillhuete. I guess that QuickSketch has something to do with it. But it still doesn’t go away once I undo it.
quick sketch changed your material to flatcolor to allow you to draw.
Next time either change your material or use preference.initialize
