I was working on a sculpt, and had its zmovie recording in progress when zbrush suddenly crashed.
Is there a way to recover the saved images/movie file?
I heard that prior to saving as a .zmv, zbrush saves all the thumbnail images of the recording somewhere on the computer?

If you were saving history, you could, if the file will open, record a forward/backward history movie from it. About all I know and that would be if you’d saved just before whatever caused the crash Have you checked for updates to ZBrush?
You should have ZB46 P2.
The crash was caused while using subtool master with zbrush 4R6 P2 window resized (not fullscreen) Zbrush did manage to quicksave, but I did lose the movie.
The forward backward history recording sends the camera all over the place.
But I went ahead and recorded another one (resculpted what I lost)!
