Zbrushcore subtools

Hello,
I am new to Zbrushcore and have created a model that has several subtools, what is the best way to make the model ready to export to Rhino 5 for prep to send to mill. Should I combine all the subtools to export to rhino? If so how?
Thanks in advance, George

To merge all subtools in ZBrushCore you would use the Tool>Subtool>Merge>Merge Visible button. This will create a new model in the Tool palette with a name beginning “Merged_” You need to select this before working with it further.

If you want your model to be all one piece, you could use DynaMesh on the merged model. You’ll need to experiment with the DynaMesh resolution to get the result you want.

You can also reduce the total polygon count without losing detail by using the File>Optimize for 3D Printing button, and there are also optimize and export options for STL and VRML formats.

For OBJ format, and several other formats, you can export using the Tool>Export button.

I’m sorry but I can’t help you with the Rhino side of things but note that ZBrushCore will only export meshes composed of polygons whereas Rhino is principally a nurbs program.

HTH,
