ZBrush Startup folder lacking stuff, and Installing Brushes

Hello, I am watching ZBrush Essentials on Lynda.com, and the teacher has a custom Brush to install. However when I go to my own ZStartup folder to find the Brush Presets folder, I only have ConfigFiles and Hotkeys and NOTHING else. The teacher’s ZBrush Startup folder however is loaded with all sorts of other folders.

Why does my paid version of ZBrush 4R6 not have all those other Startup folders, but the teacher’s trial version has a bunch? How can I install custom Brushes from other ZBrush users if I do not have these other Startup folders?

I’ve attached a picture of my ZBrush Startup folder’s contents…

What you’re showing is the ZStartup folder in the Users\Public\Public Documents\ZBrushData folder. This is where ZBrush stores those files that are shared across ZBrush versions, such as 4R4 or 4R5 if they’re installed.

You need to navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R6 folder where you’ll find the ZStartup folder you are after.
