ZBRUSH on two monitors

Hi all,

Is there a ZScript or another solution to work on ZBrush with two monitors ?

Thanking you in advance for answer.

ZBrush wasn’t built for two monitors. That said, there are some things that you can do:

You can resize the ZBrush window to span two monitors. Once this has been done, you can modify the layout so that one monitor contains only your document and the palettes list. On the other monitor you can then open that side’s tray to keep one or more full palettes always visible. You can also build out the Shelf on that side with a bunch of buttons and other elements. The Shelf can actually expand a surprising distance, so there’s a lot that you can put there.

Of course you’d also want to create a Startup Document that capitalizes on the large amount of free space on the monitor where the canvas is.

Thanks !

I know this isn’t much help, but currently I work with a Wacom lapboard (a Cintiq 12Wx) or on a 21UX (which is tilted like drafting board or animation desk most of time.) My second monitor in both cases is where I tend to throw photoshop, other tools, and reference art. Depending on your working style, you minimize a lot of ZB’s interface when you’re just sculpting to get the maximum real estate on your ā€œmainā€ Zbrush screen. The <tab> key will also hide and show interface (except for menu and any open shelves.)
