I have no doubt this is a Windows 10 issue, but it only seems to be affecting ZBrush2018. When activated, I can see the ZBrush window when I hover my cursor over the toolbar icon, but it doesn’t appear on my screen if I click on it. I’ve tried right clicking and manually moving it, changing my desktop resolution, and various other Windows suggestions, to no avail. Hope you can help.
One possibility is that ZBrush is launching on an unavailable display. Try closing ZBrush and deleting the C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\ZBrushData2018 folder. Then launch ZBrush again.
If that doesn’t work, ensure that the display you want ZBrush to launch on is the primary display in your Display Properties, then repeat the ZBrushData2018 folder deletion.
If that still doesn’t work, then you probably have a problem with your Microsoft Visual C++ components. This normally manifests as a “Side by side configuration” error but can sometimes appear in the form of other launch issues. Problem solved. Thank you for your time.
