Zbrush Data to CNC Machine

So I have no idea which forum this should go in as it seems a bit unique.

I am working for a company that is looking to implemement Zbrush as a design tool. We need to feed the geo to a CNC machine that will carve the Zbrush sculpts out of blocks of Very dense foam. We need to be able to scale the scuplts to real world dimensions eg: a Zbrush sculpt of a 6 foot person needs to be 6 feet in the real world when feed to CNC. The other challeng is we need to get the data to CNC machine code “g-code”. Does anybody out there have any experience with this type of process and if so would you be willing to share your knowledge??

Thanks for reading now go scuplt something

Zbrush files are not none for their faithfulness to scale set in other apps. I use Rhino to set my scale with high accuracy. Any .stl file coming from Zbrush will need to be"cleaned" by an .stl file editor like Magics, Netfab, or Vrmesh. 3D printing is more forgiving of potential .stl mesh problems than milling is concerned.

As far as G code, again, Rhino’s pluggin Rhinocam will do it.http://www.rhino3d.com/resources/display.asp?language=&listing=56

There are several other CNC software applications that will do it.

You should be able to use a STL to GCode converter. Zbrush can export STL files, which are used in 3D printers. You just need to download the 3d Print Exporter plugin.
