ZBRUSH Core questions

I warmly welcome,
I am new to the forum and I would like to buy ZBRUSH CORE as soon as possible. However, I have a few questions that are very important to me. I am a conceptual artist and my job is to create models and show customers as a turntable.
Here are some questions:

  1. Can I make money in this way with ZB Core as I wrote above?
  2. Can I do retopology in ZB Core in any way like using zsphere? As it was possible in trial 4r7?
  3. Can I export polypaint to photoshop or is there any way I could do textures in another program like substance painter?
  4. Is it possible to do turntable and export it as .mpq?

I hope I wrote it understandably. I have not used English for a long time.
Best regards and I hope for a quick response.

Hi,

  1. Only you can decide whether ZBrushCore would meet your creative needs as an artist, and whether you can earn money using it. Pixologic offer a 30 day Software Return Policy if, having purchased ZBrushCore, you decide that it is not for you.
  2. No, you can’t do retopology in ZBrushCore.
  3. ZBrushCore will export vertex colors (‘polypaint’) in OBJ format but this is using a non-standard tag which not all software can read (there’s no standard tag for vertex colors in OBJ). I don’t know whether Substance Painter will read it but XNormal will. Your basic workflow would be:
    (1) Export your low resolution mesh as an OBJ from ZBrushCore. This will need UVs assigned which you can do using UV Mapper or some other suitable program.
    (2) Export your high resolution mesh with vertex color as an OBJ from ZBrushCore.
    (3) Import both OBJs into XNormal.
    (4) Bake the vertex color to a diffuse map.
You can see this process here:

  4. ZBrushCore doesn’t have a way to record a turntable movie.

I hope this helps,

Thank you
it helped me a lot. I think that ZBrush Core will help me improve what I can not do. In the meantime, I will consider buying the 4r8 version, but in the future. Thank you again for the answer and for the tutorial. Including the rest of the functions, I think it’s a program for me because I’m not very advanced and I have to learn a lot. Best wishes.

If you are new to 3D sculpting then ZBrushCore is a good option. If you decide to upgrade to ZBrush 4R8 later then there’s a $100 discount for ZBrushCore users.

All the best,

100$ discount sounds nice :>
But first i really need to learn a loot of things.
Really thank for so many advice. Really cool forum
