After getting ZBrush Core, I noticed that the brushes are seriously crippled. Tutorials even on the Pixologic site utilize brushes unavailable in Core - Snakehook for instance. When I try to install new brushes, I get the message that only brushed (or tools) made in Core work in Core. Is there a repository for these items or are we stuck with the brushes that came with Core until we shell out $800 for the full version?
ZBrushCore is a stripped-down version of ZBrush, so you wouldn’t expect it to have the same capabilities as the full version. And there aren’t the full range of settings available for ZBrush brushes to work. I don’t know if more brushes will be added in the future.
In the meantime, it’s best to learn from videos that are specifically for ZBrushCore, such as these on the Pixologic site:
