ZBrush on a 4K monitor right off the box looks pretty blurry and lame. Having a hard time adjusting it. I’ve changed the DPI settings but the button doesn’t look right. Is there any way to set it so it is right? Should I go back to my old monitor?
Hello @marcos9999
See if the following link helps.
EDIT: To anybody that finds this thread, the above link no longer works since Maxon acquired ZBrush. Use the following link instead.
Hey @zber2 many thanks for this. I’ve been running 4k for ages and just accepted what I had for visuals. However I tried the linked solution and wow! What a difference! Thanks
I follow the instructions. It did correct the fonts and the general size of UI but the buttons are very small. Fine, I’ll live with that. Unless there is a way to make buttons large that I’m not aware of. The other funny thing is that when you load a tool from the toolbox it is blurry as hell like the ring bellow. But if you load for the tools on the right they are crisp like expected. I’m scratching my head here.
The link I provided above clearly states how to make the buttons larger. Windows: Blurry Text, Huge UI. Read numbers 7, 8 and 9.
If your still not happy then go to ZBrush Support
I’m pretty happy with the way things look now. But the only kink is the buttons. Not the large ones on the left, smaller buttons such as "perspective, frame, rotate, and so on. The control in preferences only affects the large buttons but not the small ones. Not a big deal but why not try?
The control in Preferences affects all buttons. I’ve just demonstrated it to myself. What doesn’t change is the size of text in the buttons, as explained in the link.
That is too bad because the text is what matters in my view. I hope they fix that in some upcoming versions.
