Yag-Kosha

yag_kosha.jpg Hi, guys!

I am posting the final result from a work that I had been working for a while.
His name is Yag-Kosha and it is a fantastic character that appeared in the story “The Tower of the Elephant” in the Conan book and after that in the comic book of the barbarian.
Here it is a wikipedia link where you can get more information about this amazing character if you are insterested and want to know a little more about it.

This scene that I illutrated shows the moment he just was captured and had his members broken, so he still has his healthy body but has his feet and hands broken, as well his wings.
In the story, with the time he acept his fortune in silence and resignation but now he “cryes” because he can´t reach the skies he used to fly freely.
Even today that is one of the most curious and amazing characters I have seen ever. I hope you like my version.

And here a link to a picture with a better resolution when you can see more details.

Excellent work…A great theme and moment to portray visually…You pulled it of really nicely…Congrats…:+1:…I like the lighting and atmosphere, and your use of warm and cool color contrast to enhance them.

Nice details and render, but the characters needs a bit of work, especially the pose. It took me about 15s to find his head, and even then i wasnt sure what im looking at. His body seems to weak to suport such a big head, and the way his ears float in the air seems like there is no gravity there ;f

This is a cool render and I love your lighting! I would agree with Slocik about the position of the head. I initially read the back of the head as the front of the head, so to me, it looked like he was looking off to the left. I realized on second look that he’s looking towards that warm light in the upper right corner, but it took me a second. Maybe look at how the shadows are defining the head shape?
