Wireframe map

Hi!
Does anybody know how to extract (unwrap) the wireframe
map from an object?
Thanks in advance! :b2:

I don’t think you can do it in Zbrush. But if you export your object and load it into UVmapper classic (www.uvmapper.com free) you get the wireframe, or rather the UVmap.

Still alive way up north Matvara?

Hi matvara But I don’t know what is a Wire frame map ! So Maybe I am totaly wrong
If you have just the demo
My 2 solutions in Zbrush but maybe other exist
Press the “dot” Menu/transform
Mode Edit and Press the Button Print screen on your keyboard
So you obtain an image of the wireframe in the memory past
To reload in a drawing program!

Another solution more elegant
Chose a texture with a fine grid
Enable "transparent"Menu Texture
Apply to your Object
Hope this help!

Thanks a lot for fast replies! Very kind of
you. I will take your advice and use UVmapper
Tveyes. And yes, still alive and vibrant!

Thanks Pilou for the reply. This is an example
of unwrapped map, where one can see the map
peeled off.

Is that I should be afraid

I forgot about this one. http://www.unwrap3d.com/

Cool, I guess I’ll settle for Unwrap3d, Looks
awesome and costs only $40.
Thanks for the tip Tveyes. Saved me lots of
tweaking time!

I really have no idea why it is so difficult to export wireframes as textures in maya and zbrush (which is the two 3d tools i am using)
while it is no problem for hardware rendering to display the wireframes, software rendering won´t have an easy way to get around this problem
I would be very happy if in the new zbrush there would be a method to “extract” the wireframe to a texture!!! Same with maya by the way…
I heard cinema 4d has this feature…

You can do it in ZBrush by using the Tool>Texture>UV to Texture button, then doing a crop and fill:
