Hi,
My project files seem to be huge… Like 500MB+ each and I haven’t even done much in them. I’m running out of hard drive space and memory real quick. Anyone know why are my project files so big? what can I do to keep them down in size.
You might be saving undo history. That would certainly account for it. You can disable it. HTH
It might also be that you have other tools within the project file.
ALL of these other tools also have undo history.
You might want to clean out the other unused tools by deleting them, and then saving just the tools you really want to keep within the file.
You can save a file with undo history and another without the undo history. You could also create a version 2 of your project with the next revision of undos if you want to keep them for future use.
Hope this helps you out.
What other unnecessary tools do you have in the red box that could be deleted from the project file?
Thank you very much @Barnacles . I save always the whole project file. My project was bloated to a massive 3.4 GB but the object exports were about 500-900 MB. Then i realised i had multiple tools open of other versions of the same project an that it caused the bloat. Now its 500 MB.
Hello. I’ve got similar problem but size is really HUGE.
I’m making insects. One project is like 50 MB but the other is 6.5 GB ZTL file. That’s too much for 5 million polys file size. Is there something wrong?
