Hello! I’m new to ZBrush. Just curious: how to get rid of the frame around canvas? Anyway, how it’s called? Anyone knows?
Excuse me, I already know about documentation/how to search forum. Didn’t find the answer, that’s why I ask. Can please anyone help?
Seems this line has no special name, and it’s not possible to hide it completely.
I read similar post yesterday and already tried to adjust document size: no matter how it’s large/small - that frame always displayed.
That’s still a little bit unclear to me.
Thank you!
There is no way to remove the safe frame. Closest you can get is matching your background color to it.
OK, now it’s clear. Thank you!
The frame only appears if your document is larger than the available space.
This macro will resize the document to fit the available space and without the border. Save to the ZBrush 4R7\ZStartup\Macros\Misc\ folder and restart ZBrush or press Macro>Reload All Macros. You should then have a new button “Fit Canvas” in the Macro>Macros>Misc sub-palette. Just press the button when you want to get rid of the border. You can assign a hotkey to the button, or make it part of a custom UI, if you wish.
Marcus, thank you very much!
Works great!
ZBrush is great - it’s very customizable.
I use the frame area to use left click navigation when I’m zoomed into an object.
It is very handy to be able to do this.
I use Right-Click navigation instead. Script posted above hides only white frame. Area around frame is kept intact, so it can be used for navigation (just like you mentioned above). And that’s OK.
