when u start up zbr3 u have an array of starter models(tools), wheres the female? anyways, does anyone have a base female model with the same pose as superaveragemale?
I always say this to these threads. MAKE YOUR OWN. You’ll have more control over your mesh, and be able to make better topology. Also you aren’t really learning how to model by using other peoples models. If you are ever working a job in CG and you ask your lead modeler where the base meshes are they will laugh at you, and not in a good way.
Also if you can sculpt fine details on a mesh, you should be able to easily change a male base mesh to a female if you take the time to do so. I’m sure the Pixologic feels this way too and that is why they did not include every kind ofbase mesh under the Sun.
Nice of you to speak for the company…
Take a look through the threads. Many of the people here have shared their base meshes. Whether there is a base female or not…don’t know.
I wish this page included a screenshot of the base mesh Zack Petroc starts with in his female modeling vid. Suffice it to say, gender’s not important in a base mesh.
What Pixologic included is far more detailed than you should be using for your base – they’re just samples to play with. These are more appropriate.
Check out this page and scroll about half way down. Rimasson provides the base mesh for his Birth Tutorial.
Well…actually asking a lead modeler for a basemesh is a GOOD thing.
Any solid company will have a model library in which is all optimised and texture/ rig ready.
I will work on a female basemesh for you mate, cheers
Grant.
