Werewolf Bust

Hey Guys, just thought I’d post my latest creature model. The base mesh was modeled in Maya then detail was added in Zbrush and extracted as a displacement map. All other textures were painted in Photoshop. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT WORK!!!

The head looks awesome especially the teeth, inside of the mouth and eyes. only thing that looks strange to me is those two diagonal neck muscles. other than that…nice job.

:+1:

…dentist !
Have happy Zbrushing!

Great work Nelson. Do you have some more renders to show off? Did you pose the character and then do the detail in ZBrush or did you add detail in the bind pose and then deform it into its curent position?

Thanks for sharing,

NickZ.

Hey Nick,

Here are some other renders and a wire. In this case, I posed him in Maya first then I went in and sculpted the detail.

This is wicked, very well done!

It would be cool to see it move… Great work looks very real. Did you only use a displacement map or split it up with a bump for the higher details?

There are actually 5 maps in total:

-displacement
-color (though its very hard to see)
-bump
-spec
-diffuse

Thanks for the kind words.

This is really great!

I really like the attitude in his expression… his profile’s absolutely top notch! Great balance between realistic and just stylized enough to make it believable and emotional.

You’ve got a nice solid attention to the details in the ears! I especially like how the bottoms are sort of inverted.

Solid work!

Fantastic.

5 stars…
I am surprised at how well the overlapping geometry of the jowel works with a displacement map. It looks like you handled it well. I keep getting PUFFY areas.
I’d sort of like to see the piece with more color, but the sculpt is awesome.

This is a fantastic sculpt !
Its got loads of energy, and the anatomy looks excellent.
The muzzel and the teeth are superb, and I love the folds at the back of the neck ! :D.

Are you thinking about applying hair/fur ?
