wacom tablet and two monitors

I have a wacom tablet and two monitors in my pc.
The problem is that the tablet uses the 2 monitors area and in ZBrush, I only use the first of them.
There is any option to say to ZBrush only use one monitor?

PD: I know that I can deactivate the second monitor in windows, but I don’t like to make this all the time

I am not really sure I understand your question but I have a dual monitor setup with a wacom and only use zbrush in which ever monitor I choose…if it was in both I would resize it to fit one. I can still use the pen in either monitor. so can have several apps running at once no problem.

If I remember correctly, the Wacom control panel lets you define both global and per-application settings. If that’s the case, then you should be able to set it so that when ZBrush is the active application, the tablet corresponds to one monitor only.

i’m very newbie @zbrush and this thread is out in time, but i have 2 question in this matter:

  1. i have a conceptronic tablet which i took out for using with zBrush. after installing the latest drivers iget the message that the services aren’t available.
wXP recognizes the tablet but i think there’s anything wrong with the services the tablet depends of. anybody has got an idea what particular service this is? for now the tablet works but without pressure sensitivity.
(i know it is not a specific zbrush problem - but thanks anyway!!)

and,
2. i’ve got 2 monitors, and usually i can move the apps from one to the other. not so with ZBrush. of course i tried other window sizes also - it stays in the prim. monitor.
anything i do wrong?

many thanks for help!

In order to get pressure sensitivity you need a WinTab compliant driver (if running Windows). You might want to see if the pressure works in photoshop/psp/painter etc , If not then make sure the driver is installed ok and try contacting conceptronic.

To reposition the ZBrush window, resize it and move it to the other monitor. But do not maximize the window once on the secondary monitor. You will need to manually maximize the window each time you start ZBrush.

A ZScript can maximize the window upon startup. Let me know if you would like such a zscript.

thank you very much TVeyes. your goodwill made me make the manoeuvre again, just with the difference that after resizing i extended it onto the other monitor. it wasn’t like moving the whole window -
the other part is that i contacted conceptronic and i have the latest drivers. seems i cant install them properly. i wonder why - but still i can work steadily and fluently without the pressure.
again i wish to thank you for your help. it is nice to know there’s such a good team for such a good application!

this post to let you know that spycatcher kept me from installing the drivers!!
happy zbrushing from now on!!!

Good to hear, glad you solved it.

Hey,

I have a problem with z brush and my 2 monitor set up. I have mapped my intuos 3 to my main monitor but whenever I open zbrush suddenly my tablet resizes to both screens. With other programs such as alias sketchbook this is not the case. I have tried installing all possible drivers but this didnt made any change. If someone has a solution to my prb let me know

Hi,

I have the same issues as mentioned above:

ZBrush 4R2 is not responding to the System Preferences from WACOM. Very annoying.

Hi guys,

had the same problem with a dual monitor setup on a G5 mac. Fortunately, wacom updated the driver mentioned above.

Installed, restarted, works now.

Hope that helps some people.
