Wacom setting not working in ZBrush

I have an Intuos 4 wacom tablet. It works with every other program I have, but for some reason the settings won’t take effect in ZBrush. The tablet and pen do work, they just only seem to keep the default settings. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried other programs, and checked many places online in an attempt to find a solution. I’ve even gone so far as to disable windows ink. I’ve nearly ruled out that it could be a wacom issue at this point.

I would just like to be able to set the darn thing up so that I can speed up my learning.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

What doesn’t work? The pen at all? Pressure sensitivity? You never say. Does the wacom mouse work?

Update: I was able to resolve the issue. After some Googling, it appears that the only way to fix the issue was to reset my Wacom Tablet settings and start from scratch. After I did that, I am able to setup 4R8 and all my programs without issue.

I’m having this problem with 4R8. I am unable to change the Express keys on my Wacom Mobile Studio Pro for 4R8. It uses the default “All Other” settings. I have 4R7 still installed and I am able to change the settings without issue.

So far I have:

  • Restarted my MSP
  • Updated my Wacom Drivers
  • Removed all ZBrush program entries in the Wacom Tablet Properties window and only re-added 4R8. (Re-adding 4R7 and re-setting up the keys works without issue)
  • As a test, I added Chrome (a program that I have never setup with Express keys) and was able to setup the keys without issue.

4R7 comes up as ‘ZBrush64’ while 4R8 comes up as ‘ZBrush’ in the Wacom Tablet Properties window so I don’t believe it’s confused.

I don’t want to completely uninstall & re-install the drivers as I have setting for other programs I don’t want to lose.

As a current workaround, I changed the default settings to match my 4R7 settings but I’d like to have it so I don’t have it set up like this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem. Nuking the Wacom tablet settings and starting a new one did indeed fix it.

Resetting prefs didn’t fix odd behaviors in wacom for me… on osx 10.12.5 open close save system dialogs totally messed up curse not clicking where it should. and only happens in zbrush no where else… also window moves and jumps to the bottom off screen when you click on certain interface elements… totally still an issue.
