Wacom Intuos5m...Pen sticking...anyone have this problem?

Just started using the Intuos 5 medium tablet.

When I do a stroke, the pen seems to stick, or hesitate for a tiny bit.
It really sticks when I resize the brush. For a moment I get that little ring icon like it’s thinking about something, then it works.

Here’s a movie of the problem in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xjp9ee4n_9M

This is a real annoyance that is effecting my workflow.

Any ideas? This doesn’t happen in other programs like Photoshop.

Is there a way to give the Intuos more memory?

Also on a side complaint; does anyone know how to completely turn off the function keys on the Intuos5 ? I don’t use them and the icons keep popping up when I brush against the buttons.

Please help me!

THanks. , —Pete

that’s a windows thing. you need to disable tablet feedback service

  1. Open Local Group Policy Editor: Run… gpedit.msc
  2. Navigate to User Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Tablet PC - Cursor
  3. Enable the Turn off pen feedback setting.

What is the Local Group Policy Editor?

***8203;Wait…sorry think I got it

Nope…didn’t seem to have an effect. Any other ideas?

Problem Fixed. I’m stupid. There’s a “pro” version of the driver and a regular. I’m apparently a Pro. Not that anyone could tell.
