I have exactly the same problem. It is quite frustrating. I don’t remember having this problem before I got my new 22" widescreen, so it may be linked to the widescreen resolution maybe, but my computer should be able to handle rotating around a 2000 tri mesh .
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
ZBrush has a BAD optimization for Professional resolution (FULL HD). If i use very old 15" LAPTOP with 50$ 128 (256 MB) with 1280x800 res, go fastest than my geate DELL M90, with 500$ Graphic Card at Full HD.
If i reduce the Canvsas size from Full HD to 1280x800 (like my old laptop), ZBrush go fastes, like old PC.
Any Idea?

One thing you should do is set Preferences>Mem>Compact Mem to 1700. This will help with performance.
Also, when you zoom in really close to a model it sometimes helps to hide the parts of the mesh that you’re not currently working with.
Finally, make sure that you’re running the most current video drivers from nVidia’s website. It’s not uncommon for companies like Dell to ship with modified or out of date drivers.
Hi aurick
i try to install last driver, but nothing . I load Rhino tool, i hide 99% of poly. Now i see only 50 poly (yes, 50 poly). But if i zoom very close, the viewport is very low! with 50 Poly! It’s Normal (resolution desktop is 1920x1280 and the canvas document 1600x1200).
Can you give me your feedback? It’ my PC or what?
Thank’s
