wow, there must be either something really great in the water up there at that school or you guys have one hell of a teacher. Not to mention that he/she has some extremely talented students. Great work kromnz.

Wow,
If some company doesn’t snatch you up there is no justice in the world! This is really good work, good composition, really nice color grading, etc. If you have a little time could you break down your images, characters, inspirations, etc. I would also be interested in the amount of time this demo took you to accomplish. Also, a little personal info if your willing.

@EZRA52 Thank you so much! yes we have great teachers at school and also I was very lucky to be part of a really talented class (class 3D85) in which we all got to help each other and push ourselfs to do our best.

@hyper1 hahaha that would be nice indeed, it would be great to start working soon…Thank you I am really happy to know you like my work.

yes, Since I had the idea to go for this direction I had 2 weeks to gather all references, create character designs, concept art and then create an animatic to present my teachers and fellow classmates for their :+1:. that video is here
after that presentation, I started working on the demo reel for a time of 6 months in which I had to do all the 3D assets, 2D paintings and compositing, (animation was done by another fellow student). I must say that I was still working on my demo reel until the very last second of my school term.

I am a bit shy to talk about myself haha but here it goes, My name is Aldo Martinez, I have a bachelor in Architecture, but I always had a great passion for art, films and games, so 2 years ago I decided to start dedicating my fulltime to learn how to do digital paintings so I started painting quite a lot, and I was really lucky that ppl liked what I was doing so, I kept painting… I had some experience with Maya, 3DSMAX and Zbrush so I went to VFS to learn and major in modeling, which I felt it was the stream I could do and show my skills as an artist.

more of my paintins is here

Now that I just graduated I am looking to start a carrer in the industry.

Thanks I am open to any questions

Hey here are some early WIP blendshapes I created using Maya, Zbrush and a mirror …It was a lot more fun than I was expecting to be, specially when friends came to my desk and I was doing funny faces.
These are about 20 blendshapes… and also some early stills for the character

Comments are greatly appreciated! Thank you for watching.
