Not being in any official course, I would like to be able to join live conversation with questions or tips tricks, As when I was back in art class, you always had other opinions right beside you, without the wait time of making a post… on going chatter.
I don’t have a server account of either program but would be willing to paypal some cash into a channel if it would be setup, and worked out.
Lots of things to talk about and experiment with now that we have Z-4!!

Actually one similar idea I would LOVE to see implemented in this great ZBC community is a recorded “Zbrush users group meeting” something like the Luxology Modo Users Group has going on.
They use gotomeeting and record roughly 90 minute live demonstrations including q/a sections for a bunch of Modo users on a regular basis. Each meeting basically covers a (sometimes poll-selected) topic that a particular user may have special expertise in. This way you end up getting fantastic video tutorials and a good “virtual classroom” environment; and the recordings are saved for anyone who wasn’t able to attend the meeting.
i might be interested depending on how many in the community show up. now that zbrush 4 is out im sure there is lots the community will discover…

I own a ventrilo I am willing to allow zbrushcentral members access to. The server is in Chicago and its online 24/7. I have it rented in advance for the next 11 months. I am a hobbyist learning zBrush but dedicated and would love to have people to ask a question to about this sometimes. The vent is largely unused for what I rented it for so this wont be any problem.
Only thing I ask is please log in with your zbc member names you use here so I will be less confused who has stopped by. yep yep !!

hey masterpiece if your willing to host im willing to teach anybody who wants to learn… the only problem is don’t know how to connect to the proper link you posted, any help you might be able to provide would be appreciated, just happy that some ones finally taking the imitative to host a web conference… hopefully this grows with time and am hopeing there is not a whole lot of lag in the video stream…actually pixologic said something about zcast a long time ago but never heard anything more of it so hopefully maybe in a future update…
i think this is a great idea. i may not idle in it… but i would definitely peak in from time to time.
Hey Troy, it is just a Ventrilo voice chat set up on a professional server I have paid to rent for 1 year. What you must do is go to Ventrilo.com and download the client side of the server. Then you first create a user at the very top of Ventrilo once installed and then connect to the server by making a new connection and inputting the login information hostname, port, and password. After thats setup you simply hit “Connect”. I hope this helps all are welcome absolutely any time of day. Again all I ask is people use the same names as here for Ventrilo. mp:)

I peeked in yesterday but i was alone. I will show up from time to time and take a look if somebody is there.
just went in and it seems to be pretty much dead as far conversation no ones here… i was thinking that if the there was a way to video conference with every body in ventrillo it would make it that much better especially if any tips or workflows are shared to the viewing audience… we used to have something like this but we used adobe connect to host video conferences with the community but its dead for a while now hopefully soon pixologic will answer this request so that the community can learn from each other that much more…
by the way they announced this feature a while a go back in siggraph 2006 http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=036912 so hopefully they integrate it in a up date eventually…

Whats the password to this ventrilo masterpiece. I went and downloaded it and it seems the server is still up.
Pretty sure this is a dead link now. We had a few sessions, but as you can see it was back in 2010. Best of luck if you can resurrect some interest.
Yea i figured as much of it being dead, thanks for the reply. I have a few teamspeak locations i know of that people can meet up if it catches on in this thread. Ill keep watch in this thread and post a new one later if the interest picks up. Why some sort of community in voice chat has never picked up for zbrush baffles me.
