Uv master problems with unwrapping

Hello all,

I have been using ZBrush for about 2 months now and it is awesome, I have made many models with no problems so far. I have just finished one and I duplicated it and Remeshed it to a lower count to use in Xnormal. I am trying to unwrap it using the uv master plugin. I use control painting to attract seams and protect the rest but after i hit unrwap and then morph uv to view the unwrap it breaks up into thousands of polygons that are just overlapping each other. I dont know if ive turn something on or off to cause this but im at qute a stand still strying to figure out why ? any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.uvs.jpg

You need to use the UV Master Plugin instead.

Thats what i used UV master Plugin the screen shot may show the uv tab but i didnt use the create from there only uv master plugin with controlled painting for seams

Are you forgetting to copy and paste your UVs from UVMaster?

I have tried morphing the uvs on the cloned low poly with high res deleted prior to copying it to the actual subD model and either way i get this. so yes i have tried coying it and pasting and tried not also

Can you show your process, step by step?
Can you unwrap other objects correctly using the same process, or is it just this model?

I have not had this problem with any other model.

  1. Protect painting with UV Master
  2. Attract painting with UV Master
  3. Unrwap with UV Master
  4. Check seams with UV master
  5. Morph UV at UV Tab

you’re protecting the whole mesh? Try turning off all color info and see if that unwraps correctly. Also, don’t use morph uvs in UV tab. Use flatten in UVMaster to check your UVs first.

Also, did you try this on another model, does the process work else where?
