Unwrap high poly model

Hi Guys! I have a model with 3 million of polygons. Its already painted and now I need to create UV using UV Master. The big issue is that I lost the lower subdivisions, so when a I press "work on clone", its clone has the same number of polygons, 3 million, and its too heavy to be unwrapped. Anybody knows any way to create UV on a high poly model with no lower subdivisions?

thanks

Not sure if you can? You could duplicate the model, zremesh it, divide it up to original polycount of the main model and project the detail and paint of the main model to the zremeshed one, then go to lowest sub divide and unwrap.

If you didn’t change your topology, e.g., dynamesh, then you can try Tool > Geometry > Reconstruct Subdiv.

That will recalculate the lower divisions from the higher division. But again it only works if you didn’t change your topology through dynamesh, zremesher, or other means. Otherwise you’ll probably need to clone and Zremesh the model.

I followed your tips and worked perfectly! Thanks!
