Twist deforms insert cylinder.

I tried to follow the 4R2 video to make a bolt. When I applied the deformation of ‘twist’ with the Z axis activated, just like in the video’ the insert cylinder brush deformed.

The attached image shows the cylinder deforms after a single twist is applied. In the video the twist is done 3 times.

Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hi EZRA52,

It took me a couple of tries to figure this out too. I noticed that, even though the red dot snaps to the center of the hex, you have to make sure that your cursor is exactly in the center before you draw the InsertCylinder (See image below).

Hey Zber2,

Thanks so much you were spot on. The bolt manufacturing went just as you would hope once I tried it with your fix.
We’re fortunate to have you always checking in on the questions in this forum. Your always on tops of all the technical aspects of this program.

Anxiously awaiting your next posting of work. Your a great artist as well.

Thanks EZRA52! and good job on the bolt. Your pickup truck is coming along quite well also. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
